Why I Am A Vegetarian

(just a random picture to fill this space up. world vegetarian day is in october hehe.)

Many ppl would know that there're so many reasons as to why I'm a vegetarian that sometimes I don't even know which to tell people. So maybe this post is to remind myself and reassure my beliefs? I don't really care if the majority think otherwise. And I'm very sure no matter what you say, I'm still gonna be a vegetarian. Don't even bother to try to change me cause
I'm on the right track baby I WAS BORN THIS WAY~
(okay not exactly since i wasn't born a vegetarian but WHATEVER!)

1. Animal Cruelty - quite self explanatory if you've seen vids. Watch farm to fridge. Yes, to a certain extent I might* agree that when handled properly, meat eating can actually not be that bad la. But I STILL won't eat it. It's more than just this video. So many things.
Warning: disturbing content

2. Increasing demand of meat -> more grain used up, those animals eat up a lot of grain! Just for human to eat them. What a waste?! The world would have so much more food without human beings being so greedy for meat. And yes perhaps we ALREADY have enough for the world but cmon, why is it that so many ppl in LDCs die of starvation? A little (actually a lot) more food would do more good!

3. For the planet. Global warming. Period (because I'm too lazy to argue)

4. Health reasons. I can stay healthy without meat (protein arguments are invalid tqvm) BUT meat-eaters are continually plagued with heart diseases etc etc. Watch Fast Food Nations. Food INC.

This post is NOT to persuade people to go veg. Just the sorta reply i'd tell people. I know that many don't feel the same way. Just asking.... Would you eat it if you'd have to kill it yourself?

P.S maybe i'd edit this post next time cause it's done so half-heartedly.
P.P.S I had enough of arguments/debates for now, especially if you think you're always right. If you're not that type feel free to ask me anything (:

P.P.P.S Being a vegatarian is not easy. Limited choices available. Going to a restaurant where you can't eat anything cause the whole place is just meat meat meat. Being marginalised. Unsupportive friends, family, boyfriend even. People suggesting place where you can't eat a thing. But you know what, i'm not giving up and I don't need your pity because it's my choice. So you don't ever have to tell me "i pity you man you can't eat meat..." I CHOOSE not to eat meat.
