Year of 2014

Just realised that some of my photos from yearly posts can't be seen anymore :( I'm too lazy to upload them again so I'll just be extra careful in uploading them this time! Doing 2014 post a lil late this year cuz procrastination is a bitxh.

Year started out with daily trainings for cheer
during HOCC itself which is always a mad wreck for my weak heart - managed to ASU yay
random pic with botch at JE
CNY :)

With family at Chiangmai :)

Pose never gets old haha

It's been awhile since we took so many nice photos on a holiday :)

Fate (always)

21 is a really significant milestone to me, not just because it's the universal proposition of transitioning to adulthood, but in the year of 2014, I find that I am no longer the girl with low self-esteem and doesn't know her place in the world. Today, I feel a lot stronger, more confident and independent. And I'm not just talking about appearance-wise, since this is the number one concern for most girls today (understandably so, you harsh cruel society). And while we're on that, I feel like if someone calls me fat, or ugly, it doesn't affect what I think about myself, not one bit. And if the same thing happened a year ago, I can't say the same. When is it suddenly not okay to love the way you look? Because the last time I asked anybody this, nobody does. As a kid growing up, we often get so excited looking in the mirror that we'd go kissing the mirror. As we grow up, society tells us that we have so many imperfections and men start telling you that you're ugly and fat and yeah, keep the insults coming. But today, I choose to believe.
And of course, I celebrated my 21st birthday which was really quite an experience that I do not regret.

In the year of 2014, I also got into my shortest relationship yet and actually I don't know what to say about it. Nearing the end of the year, I met with an incident of a psychopath which gave me really a completely different view of the world and I think it started my journey as a feminist. Maybe one day I will write about the experience here, but not today.
Ended the year starting my exchange experience in Canada.

First stop: Vancouver, the first place we encountered the uncomparable hospitality of Canadians. It already is a universal fact that Canadians are nice but they still blew me off their feet with their friendliness and always ready to help attitude.

Hello, 2015.
